Why do I even go to Staples for electronics? I understand that my visit there is right after the holidays but I was treated pretty poorly today. I was looking at their tablets and after what must have been fifteen minutes, no one came to ask if I needed help. The store did (and was) seem to be understand so I went to the Tech Center and eventually after several minutes, the tech center rep must have looked up and noticed i was there because he asked if I needed up. I looked at him but he wasn't looking at me. He was looking at his screen so I had to ask, "Are you talking to me?" He said, "Yes" without looking at me. He seemed annoyed.



He somehow unglued himself from his comfy position behind the PC and came around. We went to the tablet section and I pointed to the one I wanted. He told me they didn't have it in stock. I think pointed to another one I was interested in and he told me that one wasn't in stock either. Keep in mind, all of this was being done with a very bland attitude, as if he hadn't gotten enough sleep or was just bored with life. I finally asked, "What do you have in stock? Any of these?", and he replied that they had one in stock, the Asus tablet. I didn't know anything about that so I told him I would pass. However, I asked him, "If you guys don't have these in stock then why don't you have notices that say so?" With a bored expression, he said, "You'll have to talk to my manager about that", and walked away without asking me if I needed help with anything else. Wow, the ire. I decided at this point that it wasn't worth my time. I went to Amazon.com and purchased a unit which was prompt, informative and the "customer service" at Amazon was a lot more lively then this poor fellow. Do your job or don't do it at all.
