VERY Dissapointed

Ok so I have been wanting this hair cut that I saw online. I am a male, and long hair was required for this, so I let it grow out. After months of maintaining it and dealing with it I decided the length was more than enough for the cut I wanted I went into the Jean Madeline at the Plymouth Meeting mall and called ahead of time. I asks if they accepted walk ins or if I had to make an appointment. The woman said I could come in the same day if I wanted that it would be fine. So I proceeded to go In and approached the front desk. I told the receptionist what I wanted, showed her a few pictures of what I wanted from different angles and asked if the was someone who was able to do this just the way it was in the picture. And she confidently said yes and called over an older woman and said she could do it so I figured "great!!, she probably has years of experience" so I showed her the images and she said "perfect, leave it on the table so I can keep looking at it". Well this is where things got funky. She must have been looking at my phone the entire time because my haircut was HORRIBLE !! She cut way too high in the crown around the back of my head, and didnt even blend it or layer it or nothing ! I wanted somthing nice, classy, with style and what the hair dresser (of almost 40 years of experience, she claims) did to my hair was an insult that looked like someone put a bowl on my head and cut a straight line across. Ben after I tried to tell her it was wrong, she insisted that it was done correctly. But it obviously wasn't. This haircut required mostly scissors to cut and just a bit of clipper work for edges and such. There for ANYONE THINKING OF GOING HERE FOR A SPECIFIC TYPE OF HAIRCUT, LOOK ELSEWHERE. Ask around for where people actually get their hair done instead of assuming these places actually know how to do their job correctly. I since bad to pay full price ($50) and still had to go elsewhere to get my hair kinda fixed, but far from what I wanted. NIGHTMARE.

Jean Madeline...

I went here because my other stylist is in another state and there was no time to go there. Big mistake to pick a "junior stylist" because I went in with my hair styled to show how I like it and said that I absolutely loved the haircut and just wanted a half-inch trim. She acted like she understood and then when she had me in the chair, started to criticize it, saying that my stylist messed up and she wanted to "fix it". Her "fixing it" meant cutting way too much off and changing the haircut completely. My original cut was the first one I've ever had so many compliments on. Now my hair looks average and not what I wanted at all. I'm never going back.
