Grew up in the church, but dont know what to do about it now? Didnt grow up in the church, but wanting to explore faith in a safe and loving community? We hope youll be a part of us! Our life together is marked by the peace-making, contemplative, charismatic, liturgical, communal, disciple-making, kingdom-seeking, post-modern, Trinitarian, missional, and emergent movements of the church. We have been influenced by the Christian community development and intentional community movements. As we deeply value the witness from the Church fathers and mothers, we pursue the guidance of St Francis and St Clare of Assisi as we seek to follow Jesus with reckless abandon. We seek to be incarnational and multi-ethnic. Our core values are love, humility, and justice. Our practice flows from the understanding that Jesus in unity with the Father and the Holy Spirit is the Lord and Savior of all that is. We plan for our main lived mission as a community to be one of presence to the sick and dying in the myriad hospitals surrounding Oakland.
