Provided by YP.comBarb is a competent trainer, but certainly nothing special. The high price is bad enough, but her belittling, rude, and self righteous attitude made classes frustrating, unpleasant and I quickly regretted paying for 2 months of putting up with a rude snob of a trainer. Much of the class is listening to her on her soap box, telling you why she's right and everyone else is wrong/cruel/horrible/stupid. For a 'positive' trainer she is extremely negative to most of her clients, while treating everyone around her like incompetent idiots. But one of the things that got to me the most is her absurd idea that crating your dog for upwards of 8 hours (no matter the age!) then letting them have some free time in the evening, before re-crating them again all night, is for their own good. That to me is extremely cruel and no way for a dog to live its whole life. The class was packed and she was never able to help most of the people and often just went around insulting techniques. There are Much better trainers who are positive with both owner and pet and teach in an encouraging, fun environment, with a much more reasonable price! But if you want to try her my advice is to watch a class before you fork over the money.

Provided by YPmobileNastiest lady ever. All she does is belittle everyone and will make you feel like you are 5 yrs old.She seems to forget that WE are the ones paying HER! She also tells you to go against veterinarians advice, last time I checked she doesnt have her degree in veterinary medicine. Plus she put a citronella collar on a dog, and it was spraying in the poor animals face for the entire class. How is that a good trainer? My dog and myself were traumatized by her. AND she doesn't offer refunds! It appears she doesn't even like dogs, I don't know why she is in this business.

Provided by SuperpagesI started these classes with high hopes. I did look at the other reviews and thought I would make my own judgement calls. I should have took the advice on the other reviews. Some people there are not very friendly at all. I will never go back.

Provided by SuperpagesI came to this training center with high hopes but that didn't last. I had 8 people in my class when it started. Needless to say by the time week 4 was here, there were on 4 and then I left. I felt totally discouraged after being talked down to in front of the whole class after I made a mistake. Mistakes happen that's why it's called training. I can't say why the others left, but it doesn't take long to figure it out. My suggestion is to look elsewhere!!

Provided by SuperpagesMy experience here was not a good at all. I recommend looking elsewhere. I was treated poorly by one of the trainers and she tried to humiliate me in front of the class.

Provided by SuperpagesThe trainers are very knowledgeable and will teach you a lot about how to understand and effectively train your dog! There are a variety of classes that are offered.

Provided by SuperpagesI agree with the other two reviews. Very good training and advice on building good relationships, but if you are looking for a trainer that cares about you or the dogs this is not the warm and fuzzy place to be. Owner of facility tends to be very unpleasant towards the owners.

Provided by SuperpagesI highly recomend this dog training center. The approaches used there is positive reinforcement, which enable you and your dog to build the positive and trusting relationship. With the strong positive relationships, your dog will want to offer you the behavior you desire from them!!

Provided by YP.comI took a basic obedience class and Danielle was the trainer. She was absolutely wonderful! Very pleasant and never rude to the students. I could go on and on about how nice she was.
As far as Barb Levenson, she was very rude! She does not know how to treat her paying customers with respect. She had an agility class scheduled around the same time as the basic class and was very rude to us leaving. We even walked on the side to try not to disturb her class. She would ask us to hurry up and leave....well how much faster do you want us to move? Would you like us to run through to quickly exit? Personally I would think that would cause more of a problem.
I was considering on taking a basic agility class but I am NOT giving her another $130 of my hard earned money to be taught by an inconsiderate woman.
Her classes are quite more expensive than others in the area. I have heard mixed opinions about her and thought it couldn't be that bad. Boy was I wrong!
Save your money and go to another place. If you are able to make it to Delmont, go to Westmoreland County Obedience Training Club (WCOTC). They are very nice and you will get good training there. It is very reasonable too! They also have agility and CGC certification.
