I like to start by saying I’m giving Mid-Atlantic Basement Waterproofing a five-star rating. Steve C. came and educated me on the needs and the current wear and tear of my basement. Some of which I knew however I did not know why. The education was amazing and eye opening. Once I realized what really need to be done my heart sank. But he came up with a plan the was affordable which I really did not think was possible. Steve said it should take about 2 days for completion. That’s when Wilbur and his crew comes in. Wilbur was friendly and fast. The best thing was there was no cleanup they did everything, they were quiet and fast. The basement looked amazing I could not believe how fast and efficiently they worked. Yes, people 2 days. Hydro-Trac and sump pump installed. They are female friendly and speak to you like you have a brain. I would recommend them to everyone especially single moms. Thank you so much for making it possible to fully enjoy my home.

Highly Aggressive Sales Force

Mid-Altantic was the first company we contacted about our wet basement. After the salesman was at home our for almost 4 hours, and tried to manipulate us into having the job done within a few days at a "reduced" price, we told him we would need a week to decide since we were getting estimates from other companies. Over the next 5 days, we received no less than 25 calls (thank God for Caller ID). On the 5th day, I answered and explained that their over aggressive sales caused us to go with another company. Despite the fact that I told them never to call me again, about 2 weeks later we started receiving more calls from them with a "special" rate. Now they have gone from annoying to harassing. We are very happy with the small company we went with--the owner was here during the job and didn't just send a work crew like Mid-Atlantic planned to do. They were 1/2 the price. I urge you to shop around! If I could give them less than 1 star I would.

Basement is still wet and smelly

Had Midatlantic "waterproof" our basement in 2011. I have gotten water 7 different times since then. The last one a few days ago flooded my basement with more water than we had ever previously had, even before we had their service. The basement smelled nice for a few weeks after they completed the job. The air freshener they install just masks the smell of all the holes they cut into your basement walls. Its always the same when I call, I leave a message and sometimes get called back 2-3 days later and get an appointment for several weeks later. They haven't yet fixed the problem. What good is a lifetime warranty if they can't fix the problem? The last time I called to get someone to come out for service the guy on the phone must have thought I was a new customer. He had me scheduled for an appointment the very next day. It was only when I gave him my address and he punched it into his system and said wait you already have our waterproofing in your basement. I said I know I need someone to come and fix it! Oh well you need service, I'll transfer you to their voicemail. 2 days later I have an appointment for a month later. Nice company, I guess they are too busy getting new customers to keep the existing customer who already paid for their service happy. I feel like it is my mission to get the word out. If you feel like getting the run around everytime you deal with them midatlantic is your company. Hopefully your basement is drier than mine.

My wife and I were finally able to start our lives together a few years ago and we purchased a house soon thereafter. Once in a while when it rained very badly, we would get water and small puddles in our basement. We thought the worst and took some action. I heard Mid-Atlantic's ads on the radio all the time and they were the first place we thought to call about our predicament. They came out and checked the situation and suggested we waterproof our basement. They did a french drain type of thing with a sump pump and we have never had any water come back into our basement again. I can always tell it's working because the pump has a clear cover and you can witness the water draining through the system and dumping into the sump pump. Thank goodness we got it done when we did with the severe storms we've had over the last couple of years. They did a fantastic job and cleaned up after they were done and the waterproofing has been 100 percent problem free. Thanks.

After years of flooding in my basement in 2011 I finally decided to get some help. Mid-Atlantic sent a representative who walked around the basement told us what needed to be done and gave us a no obligation estimate. The work was done when they said it would be done, the workers were professional and courteous. Even during Super storm Sandy, after we lost power the back up battery help up for hours. The battery did eventually give out but because the job was under warranty they came out right away and replaced it with a newer model. The representative who came out even cleaned up the area for me. This has been the best investment I have made in my home to date!

We were having seepage issues in our basement with our carpet getting wet and mold growing on the walls. Mid Atlantic gave us a comprehensive overview of what they would be doing to prevent water seepage in our basement. We hired them to do the waterproofing a couple of years ago and have had a completely dry basement ever since. They worked quickly and efficiently and completed the work when they said they would .We are so happy to be able to use our basement living space for our family.

I really thought I was over my head when my 100+ year old basement started to take on pools of water. I knew something has to be done before my house crumbled in on itself. I asked a few contractor friends who to call and they all recommended Mid-Atlantic. They worked with me to find a price and financing option that fit into my budget. The crew was polite and professional. I now have piece of mind that my house will last another 100 years.

Best Investment Ever!

A few years ago, I attended PSE&G's Home Expo. At first I was a skeptic when I was approached by a representative from Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing stating that they could remedy the water problems in my basement. However, after listening and seeing their process on video, I decided to give them a call.

It was the best decision we ever made. We've been in our place for many years and we've always had water in the basement when it rained (even during heavy snow).

But, that is now a thing of the past. I take comfort during storms now knowing I have one less thing to worry about. My basement has been dry since the day of installation.

THIS WAS MY BEST INVESTMENT EVER!!

Three years ago Mid-Atlantic came to my rescue as I was trying to sell a house where an ill-advised basement had been installed. The house remained virtually unsalable

until Mid-Atlantic completely remedied the situation.

Their people were professional to deal with and meticulous right down to the completion of their work. The cost was entirely fair especially considering the end results and the eventual sale of the house.

Mid Atlantic Water proofing did our basement about 10 years ago. They did a very professional job and we are very happy with them. They stand behind what they do and maintenance is very good too. I would recommend them to any body.

Ask for a "discount" - they are competitive & WELL worth the investment! NO other company will give you a warrantee & it is transferable! I have had NO water issues in my basement since having them do the work (even through the "Super storm Sandy" fiasco!!!) Do NOT waste your money on those other companies!! If they won't warantee / guarantee their work, ask "Why does Mid-Atlantic?" The answer is because THEY know what they are doing & the other guys simply treat the "symptoms" and don't remedy the problem!!

Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing did a wonderful job for us. Our basement was flooded three times, and was beginning to smell. They came in, ripped out all the damaged areas, built drains, installed a pump, and we haven't had a problem in the five years since.

After suffering through constant worry whenever moderate to heavy rain or snow fell I called Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing. "Steve" their estimator/representative was enormously helpful. After examining the affected area he offered his thoughts on the specific conditions that were causing the water to enter my basement. Steve checked the water for clarity which led him to draw certain conclusions. Steve described the work that was needed to fix the problem and set up the schedule for all crews to insure timely completion of the job. I was amazed at the work ethic demonstrated by all crews. A channel from the installed sump pump to the rear of the basement was neatly done. The carpentry team was excellent in re-installing the basement panels and heating elements. All work was exceptional. I have already recommended Mid-Atlantic to friends and neighbors who have similar water problems.

Yes, it was expensive-and in our case we also had to have an electrician install outlets for the sump.pumps. We also had to give up using our washer and dryer for the days the work was being done. Having said that-it is wonderful to go.into our basement and not have that horrible musty smell from water collecting on the rug and having some items on the floor get soaking wet as they did before the waterproofing was done. It has been amazing to see in the last few weeks, between the melting snow and rain we've had, how much water has been draining from the pumps! We had it set up in such a way that the water stays on our property. Highly recommend this company and the inconveniences while work was being done were worth it.

Mid Atlantic Waterproofing serviced my basement 3 years ago. Water had just started seeping into my basement. I wanted to get it taken care of before it became a major problem. I received an estimate and a french drain and sump pump was installed the following week. The crew finished the job in one day. A few weeks later I had a small amount water coming in from the wall adjacent to the french drain. I called for service and they extended the french drain to a section of the adjacent wall. The service call was covered under the warranty. My basement has been dry ever since. I would highly recommend Mid Atlantic.

Terrible experience. We had them come and install their system and they raised the floor all the way around my basement by two inches and two feet out! It eliminated about 50 square feet of our basement! The big problem was, they initially said it wouldn't raise the floor at all and had all kinds of excuses why they did it. They were rude as soon as I contacted them about the problem and we even had third party companies that came through and said they did that because it was easier for them. Never would deal with them again. There are other honest waterproofing companies out there.

We lived in our home for 2 years (with 2 previously installed sump pumps) and each year experience flooding (6 inches 1 year, 20 inches the following). Mid-Atlantic came and installed their waterproofing system 1 year ago, and it's been dry ever since. The process was easy and the work was professional. They came when they said they would and finished earlier than what they originally estimated. We recently had to call them to come out and check one of the pumps and they came the 1st thing the very next day (all covered under the warranty). Our basement has been dry since they installed the system and now we have usable space down there.

I used Mid-Atlantic Waterproofing for half of my basement and another company for the other half. Mid-Atlantic was much more professional and reliable. When I had an issue with water seeping in again, they came down and fixed the problem as per the lifetime warranty. I would definately recommend this company.
