I submitted a $45 application fee on a rental on 11/04. I got a text on 11/05 to come to a group showing. I met with the rental company representative on Saturday 11/06, during a group showing on an older house. The agent asked me what I wanted to do since I was the first one there. I asked if she could send me information about the average monthly power bill and water bill since it was an older house, and she agreed that she would once she received the deposit. I went to Walmart and got a money order for $750, then gave it to her when I went back to the house. On Monday 11/08, I started looking at the handwritten receipt she gave me, and the price for the amount owed was different than the listed rental price. I asked in an e-mail first and never got a response, so I texted and asked why this was and was told a completely different price. I told them that I wanted to withdraw my application and deposit, and was told that they couldn’t do that right now, and would deduct money from it for every day that they didn’t have a tenant in the house. She said that I would get whatever was left after 30 days. I never signed a lease and I never agreed to anything. I was told they would hold the deposit just to remove the listing from online, and that I had a few weeks to get the money to them to start the process Of renting, and that they would email me the contract after that, and get the keys ready. It was only 2 days before I decided that I didn’t want to do business with them because of the inconsistencies. A quick google search showed that they already have 14 others similar complaints against them with the BBB. Is this even legal? Where do I go from here? I do have all of our communications via text and email, except for the day that she took my money in person.

i had safety concerns about about a rental property i am leasing, the windows would not latch properly, was held up by duct tape, and wasnt sealed properly creating a horrible draft which made it terrible to keep the home heated, that was my first complaint along with the bugs coming in from the adjacent duplex. they came and replaced the lock which made the windows not able to retract or open, the frame of the window was held by sealant. later my home was burglarized, they pushed the window out of the frame, replaced it and walked out the front door. I notified the property management team being that it happened over the weekend no one was there to answer my calls to have it fixed. I left numerous voicemails none of which were returned, once I finally reached someone on staff, the latest day I would be able to have the window fixed was 3 days after the incident occurred. the window is completely out of the frame literally left butt ass naked open....DO NOT RENT from these people...it has been the most horrible experience I've ever had from a rental agency. as of today 11/4/19 I still have no window so I will update my post on whether they completely replaced the window with a new frame, or if they continued to use the same old window with zero safety enhancements.

it's been a month since the break-in. i have heard nothing from the landlord. They outright refuse to fix the window. EverytI call about the situation it's always an avoidance or a we'll get back to you,.or the property manager is out of the office...yet they never call me back at this point in time I have filed a lawsuit against the agency, as well as a complaint with BBB and Code and Safety. the worst experience every yet they expect you t pay full rent for a place that they've failed to properly maintain.

As a renter I can't list the problems I have had. They NEVER fix any problems, a true nightmare!I have had Niagara falls coming through my roof for months! Personal items that cannot be replaced...ruined! Beware anyone who uses them! They will make up charges!

We have been using Magnolia for nearly a year and are extremely pleased with them. They rented our house very quickly. Magnolia takes care of all of the details so that we don't have to, and their repair and maintenance services are very reasonably priced. When our first tenant moved out, they found another tenant very quickly. I highly recommend Magnolia.
