Camelback High School provides a variety of academic and extracurricular opportunities for students in grades 9 through 12. Established in 1954, the school enrolls more than 2,000 students, as well as maintains a work force of over 210 employees. Camelback High School conducts classes in performing arts, social studies, science and industrial technology. The school also offers instruction in fine arts, English and mathematics. Camelback High School operates chess, interact and science clubs. The school maintains a bookstore, as well as provides counseling and professional development services. Camelback High School maintains a parent-teacher association and online library. The school offers various athletic opportunities, such as baseball, basketball and soccer. It is a part of the Phoenix Union High School District, which governs several elementary, middle and high schools.
