Stinger Square Playground is a recreational facility that is located in the city of Philadelphia. The playground is operated and maintained by the city s recreation department. The recreation department develops and maintains the cities parks and public recreational facilities. It also provides after-school programs, aquatics programs, camps, cultural programs, sporting events, athletic leagues, performance arts programs, programs for individuals with physical and mental disabilities, teen centers, programs for senior citizens and visual arts programs. In addition to Stinger Square Playground, the department maintains the Atwater Kent Museum, the Betsy Ross House, Camp William Penn, Carousel House, Olde Fort Mifflin and Robin Hood Dell East.
