Provided by YPmobileThis was my first time getting a haircut here and it was only because I could not make it home due to all roads being closed from the Pope's visit. Let me first say, I'm a white male Temple student. I walked in and 3 workers passed me off to other hair stylists (which should have clued me in) but finally a guy named Craig told me to sit down. He was a pleasant guy but it was absolutely clear that he has zero idea how to cut white people's hair. He would move the buzzers so quickly that it would pull my hair because buzzers must be operated slowly to allow the hair to be cut...not yanked out. He called me out for not trusting him and being nervous because during the haircut he did not allow me to face the mirror and when he'd stop cutting for a few seconds I'd turn around and glance in the small mirror on the wall. He told me he's been working there for 35 years aND finished the haircut with him requiring me to put his phone number in my phone because of how impressive he thought his haircut was. Trust me, I paid him 25 for a simple cut (I have a very basic faux hawk) and will be going back to my home in the suburbs as soon as the papal visit is over to have Hair Cuttery redo the cut - I don't even mind if I have to pay them another 25 to do it - I'm that frustrated with MECCA and Craig. I would NEVER recommend a white individual go there.

Provided by YP.comDon't EVER step foot in this place. They do NOT know how to do hair. This effin light skinned girl with a horrible weave burned me. And I'm not just complaining over some little burn, this stupid bi-yatch BURNED the hell outta me. Now I'm online looking up how to care for burns on my FOREHEAD. I don't even know why they have her working in there. She probably doesn't even have a hair license. She didn't even know how to APPLY the perm, kept asking another lady what she should do. Then when I was explaining to her that I wanted it rollerset and not blow dried, she looked dumbfounded and acted like I was speaking another language. Needless to say my hair came out horrible, and when I came home and fixed it, it looked 100 times better. This salon is so effin ghetto and filled with loud as* Philly ppl who have nothing better to do but waste their days away. I will NEVER EVER go here to do my hair again, and I suggest that everyone who is contemplating going there do the same.
