Located in Peru, Ill., Roosevelt School serves more than 300 students and employs over 40 faculty and staff members. The elementary school serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade two. The school emphasizes literacy skills, mathematics, science, social studies and thematic units. Its literacy curriculum includes programs in phonics, phonemic awareness, vocabulary, comprehension and reading fluency. Additionally, Roosevelt School offers classes in art, music and physical education. Each classroom at the school features several fully networked computers. Roosevelt School also maintains a computer lab with more than 25 computers. The school has a parent-teacher club that works for the welfare of the school.
