I found an on-line sale on some flooring which fit into my non-existent budget and was in the color I needed/wanted. What should have taken 10-14 days to be shipped to my home ended up taking over 30 days. My order "got lost" and the only reason it was found is because I called to check on the status. The first customer rep I talked to gave me the wrong info, but the second one was great.
The manager of the Perrysburg store really did try to help me, even after I called to complain that the flooring that was delivered to my home was the wrong color. He offered to re-order it, (but warned me that it would probably be that same color) and offered a second box for free for all the trouble I was having. It still astounds me how a picture showing a light gray can come in as a medium brown.
I live 40 miles away from the store, but opted to go to there to check out the new boxes instead of having them shipped. Again, they came in brown instead of grey. Nick informed that corporate knows there is an issue with some of the on-line pics not matching the true color. What I would like to know is why this is even an issue - this is unacceptable.
I was offered other options to replace the flooring, but that would involve almost doubling or tripling my budget. Being a single mom, I cannot afford that.
This indevour started on October 20 and today is December 12. Almost 2 months from my original order date and I have nothing to show for it.
The picture I have attached shows the flooring I ordered on the right. Flooring sample on the left is close to the color of what I received.
In the future I will shop local. It may cost a little more and may take me a little longer to finish my projects, but at least I can get what I want in a timely fashion and won't have to worry about it being wrong. Lowes, Home Depot and Menards from now on.
