Citizen's Equity First Credit Union is a nonprofit financial cooperative through which borrowers help savers and savers help borrowers. CEFCU was founded in 1937 to serve employees of Caterpillar Tractor. Since then it has grown to a $2.5 billion financial institution serving the employees of more than 550 companies, as well as individuals who live or work within a 14-county service area in central Illinois.
