You gotta go to this place. Earlier reviews only gave this park a one star rating. We went today and was pleased with Sandy and his many birds. All types of Parrots and Macaws are readily accessable to the visitor. Be carefull though, they do bite. To highlight our visit we went into the large Macaw cage to feed them. They were not affraid and actually sat on our shoulders and arms looking for penuts, and you better have some ha ha. We will visit again, and again. A warning if your going into the Macaw cage; wear something on your arms, as thier claws are a little sharp. have fun.

I just visited this park and I...

I just visited this park and I agree. What a sad situation. These birds are claimed to be rescued. I don't think of them as rescued but moved from one abusive situation to yet another. I have seen birds without seed and fresh water. Their water bowls are metal sinks, which are green with algae, many of the birds, mostly the macaws are in direct sunlight with no means of cooling. They were hanging on the fence panting from the dry heat. I have been told that they are tropical birds and I didn't understand. Well... I have a macaw and other smaller birds. Trust me when I tell you they are abused and neglected. Clean the sink, get them clean water and a water mister so that they can clean and bathe themselves properly.. A wild macaw may be used to heat but not direct sunshine ALL day with warm algaed water. How are these birds supposed to bathe in these sinks of warm water that they are supposed to drink as well. In the wild they also are able to fly into a shaded area to cool down and have clay pits which they also use to cool themselves. How heartbreaking to see such a beautiful birds neglected. How sad this place is a sanctuary.
