I would never recommend this company I have had nothing but trouble dealing with them.They forgot to order my heat shield tacit took 6 weeks to get installed. Installed my stove wrong. I did not get my permit for 3 months because they had my name mixed up with someone else and they never called to tell me there was a mix up.My fan broke 5 weeks ago i ordered a new one and no one and have been calling asking to speak with a manager and no one will return my phone calls. I am not the type of person who would right a review like this but they are the worst company I have ever dealt with I wish iI could return my stove.

Absolutely incredible knowledge and service. I visited both locations and found the all the answers I needed to make a confident purchase. They certainly took the time to explain all options and products that would heat and compliment our antique homes den. It is not often these days, that you find true professionals, enthusiastic, and willing to spend the time needed to make a feel confident in there decision. favorite, or highly recommended because

Everything I would expect!

I must say, after months of visiting numerous fireplace retailers on the South Shore, I was convinced August West Chimney and Fireplace by far had the most knowledgeable staff along with great selections. Their new store on Whiting St in Hingham is gorgeous and is worth checking out as they have the most modern and realistic displays that I have seen. Understanding my needs and narrowing down the right fireplace for my application was critical and they took the time needed to do so. Also, they came out to my home and inspected the area where I wanted to install the fireplace. This was important as we didn't want to buy something too big and too small for the area. Finally, August West has arranged for the plumbing and electrical as well. I normally don't write reviews, but after reading the two not-so-nice other reviews I wanted to form my own opinion. I too have a service related business and understand the challenges on a daily basis but I highly recommend using this company as I'm sure you'll be pleasantly impressed with their operation
