My name is Jackie Koglin, ( I'm the one on the right ), and I started Ask It In A Basket, Inc. in 1991 using the passions I have in lifepeople, yummy food and beautiful gift presentations. Ask It began its humble beginnings in my home when my children were very young, and it wasn't long before the business grew before my eyes, just like our children. Within 3 years, I moved the business out of our home into commercial space, and discovered the challenges of an expanding business along with the challenge of balancing a family. Then along came Laura! In 1996, Laura Briars ( she's the one on the left ) joined Ask It." She offered organizational skills that enabled our creativity to flourish, while helping manage the steady growth of our business. The gifts of a strong, uncompromising work ethic and creativity can only take a company so farhumor always helps, and a dedicated production staff. Whatever the job or project to be completed, Laura and I have always tried to work as a unified team, bringing out the best in each other and our staff. We have had the privilege of working with some very loyal customers and corporations * over the years, have been published in trade magazines and The Chicago Tribune and have been featured on WGN News, and the Kathy and Judy Radio Show. We are also a certified WBE firm, accustomed to working with vendor/supplier diversity contracts. Charity and community involvement is important to us. We work with a number of local schools, churches and community organizations *, as well as national organizations * for their benefit and fundraising efforts. Our services have included gift wrapping services that have enhanced the value of donated gifts given to these organizations for various fund-raising events, along with our volunteer time, Board work and our own gift basket donations to various charities. Our mission in business is to offer our customers beautiful and delicious gifts in creative combinations that will enhance their relationships with family, friends and business associates. Our desire is to continue to build our business model, while maintaining the high product and service standards we have always had.
