Do yourself a HUGE favor and avoid this DJ. They are very affordable (which is what I was attracted to in the beginning), and were also one of the options I had to choose from at my venue (they had a list of who you could have DJ, cater, etc. at their location). Communication with DJ on The Mic was ok, they mailed me a large packet to fill out with how I wanted the reception to flow (times for cake cutting, dinner, bouquet toss, etc.) and what kind of music my husband and I wanted played at the reception. They asked me what type of personality I preferred in a DJ (this was an actual question in the packet. You could choose someone who is more serious or more laid back, etc.). I thought this meant I would be selected a certain DJ. However it turns out that there are only 2 DJ's, and they are the owners (they are husband and wife), and they work together at all their events. I had stated that I wanted a DJ that was more laid back/funny, however at the reception, the two of them could not have been any more reserved, stand offish, and at times incredibly rude. They state that they have "thousands of songs" to choose from, however I had complaints from 5 different guests that they did not have their song requests. or the DJ just "forgot" to play their song. My mother asked if they could play a certain song and the lady didn't even bother to look it up. They played a different version of my husband and I's first dance song, and when we mentioned that we didn't think it was the right song, the lady snapped at me (the bride!!) and was incredibly defensive and rude. They didn't even apologize. The worst part was that they were unwilling to work with our photographer. We had asked for just 15 minutes so that my husband and I could have pictures of just the two of us, however they snapped at my photographer stating they didn't have time (they had so much time!!). They gave us a maximum of 10 minutes for our pictures. Please, do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO WITH THIS DJ.

It was a day to remember....but not a good one. We believed that a DJ is hired to be the master of ceremonies along with the music. They (he and his wife) had absolutely no idea what to do. The wedding and reception was at the Bellevue Berry Farm. We were counting on him to entertain the guests with music and a video while pictures were being taken. It took 30 minutes for him to move his things from the room the wedding was in, down the hall to the reception.He couldn't get the wedding video to play, which I had previously checked and played on 2 tv's , and two computers. He tried to add his own music to it (???) in playing through a projector behind a cloth screen. Needless to say, that didn't work. Our IT friend, who obviously knew more than he did offered, he refused to let him help. We finally had to tell him to give up playing it. He introduced the bride and groom with the wrong last name AFTER he was told what it was and how it was pronounced. Every guest cringed when this happened. During the dance with the bride and groom, the song skipped. We then told him to please start the first dance, he replied he would after he got his lights set up. This was nearly an hour into the reception. The reception was to go until 11:00. He tracked the groom down at 9:30 and said “you got my money?” Then again at a 10:30.

After a disastrous beginning, the rest of the music went ok, but I would not recommend him to anyone if you are depending on him to keep things on schedule or keep the reception flowing.
