We hired Chicago Wood Floors to install new wood floors in our new home. They never used a vapor barrier nor were the nails properly placed to secure the boards. Some were placed at intervals of between 18" and 52" and some with no nails at all. After bringing in an independent floor inspector, we ended up tearing the floor out and replacing the entire floor along with hiring another contractor to install it the proper way. The owner was very difficult to work with under any circumstances.
