The North Pinellas Historical Museum has exhibits featuring Palm Harbour, Crystal Beach and Ozona and Curlew communities providing history of Pinellas when it was first settled in the 1800s. The museum hosts many different festivals and events that can easily be found on their web site. The museum also has a Native Plant Trail through the pine flatwood habitat, featuring dozens of plants that were once used for food and shelter by the pioneers. No need to leave the little ones at home, the museum has interactive stations for learning. The museum is free and relies on donations and volunteers.
