Congratulations to Dr. Flanagin on the recent purchase of Ortonville Animal Hospital (formerly Clinic). Elizabeth Lake Animal Rescue started working with Dr. Flanagin almost 11 years ago. We were so impressed with the caring and quality of work that we have followed her practice with well over a thousand animals of ours during that time. Some arrived at the rescue in poor shape and needed emergency care. Many have required surgery and other acute treatment. She stepped up, saving many, many lives with her skill and concern. She is not afraid to research whatever is best for the animal, whether due to an injury, or daily care. We work with several vets in different cities, and Dr. Flanagin and her staff are outstanding, and we wish them the best. They deserve it.

I have been seeing Dr. Flan for more than 10 years, and always found her to be very professional, patient, understanding and qualified everywhere she worked. The staff at Ortonville is wonderful, friendly and helpful. I was very pleased when she opened her own clinic. I have taken critical cases to her and she has put all her effort into saving them, if it was possible. Some were beyond help, but she gave it all she could, in the best welfare of the animals. I wouldn't trade her caring, knowledge and skill for anything. I would and have traveled more than an hour for my companions to see her. One of the best vets I have seen beyond a doubt.

Dr. Nancy Flanigan of Ortonville Animal Clinic killed our 12 year old greyhound by cutting the main artery in his tongue during a simple teeth extraction. She had otherwise convinced us that she was experienced with greyhounds, however she later admitted to us that she used the incorrect tools, as the right tools would have cost her "$6,000". As a result of her mistake, he suffered a painful death where he sufficated on his own blood. She and her staff a inept, cheap, lazy, over confident, and are poorly skilled. Do not take your pets to her; she (literally) has greyhound blood on her hands. Her malpractice insurance company agrees, and provided us with monetary reward.
