I went there several years ago and the employees were quite rude! They assumed I was getting a gun so I could commit a crime or hurt someone or something.
I had no intention of doing anything illegal! But, I was a Security Guard at the time. I was trying to buy a gun for work. I was going to start doing armed security. At the time was doing unarmed security.
I went in there, asked a few questions and checked out some of their guns.
I didn't find a gun that I want to buy right away. I went out to the parking lot and I was going to leave and come back another day to actually buy a gun. Out in the parking lot, I saw someone I knew. I stopped to talk to him for a few minutes.
Then, I saw Three police cars speeding down the road, they had lights and sirens on.
The officers got out of their cars, one of them pulled out his gun and told me to turn around and put my hands on the car!
They put me in handcuffs and asked me a bunch of questions for about 45 minutes. They even threatened to Baker act me! (That means: Send someone to a psych ward!)
I explained to the police that I was in the Army and I served in Iraq. I am currently a Security Guard and was trying to get a gun for work. I also told them I have a concealed weapons permit.
The police realized there was nothing wrong with me and let me go.
But, they got a call from someone who works at the gun shop.
This was actually just a few days after I had problems at a different Orlando gun shop.
The police told me that the other place might of called all the other gun shops in Orlando and told them to watch for me. Because, the local gun shops will do that sometimes.
In the end, the police let me go and told me not to go back to any Orlando gun shops for a few months, until they forget about this.
I eventually found a better gun shop in Cocoa, FL. It was about an hour away from Orlando. I bought my guns there!
Due to their poor service and bad treatment of customers from rude employees, I can't recommend this place at all!
If I could give them less than One star, I would give them a negative amount of stars! Negative infinity is not low enough for this place!

I found that the staff at OAK RIDGE GUN RANGE are extremely rude people who have no sense of customer service I do not recommend this place to anyone , also their prices are high and the range is small with only 7 lanes and they allow many people in that small space.... but most of all I was disappointed by the unprofessional treatment received. I will never visit this establishment again. Hopefully this reviews will help people decide where to go to have a good time

I've been to O.R.G.R two times. 1st visit was educational one, but my 2nd visit which was yesterday Friday 13th, I wasn't sure what kind of crowd it would be. Small crowd was waiting, but they quickly ask if I was being helped within 1 min of me walking in. My wait time, there was none.
I was next in line. After signing my waiver, i was impressed with Rock's c/service. He walked me through the shooter of my choice and led me in with no delay into the range. I somehow managed to catch a flat in the parking lot. While i was shooting inside team asking thru the range lanes who drove a blue vehicle. They informed me of my tire being on the ground. Range session was good, close out process was just as smooth. Many people were still in lobby and Nicole closed me out with no hesitation and yet still had time to answer my questions. In addition to the 3 metric ratings, this door was all 5 stars. Before i could even get to my vehicle I was being asked if I needed help getting back on the road. Rock and Chris were already rolling up their sleeves to get my jack under, provide lighting and switched out my tire. The jack I had was pretty weak, so they phoned a buddy to assist me with a heavier one. Rock and Chris hung out with me on a wet concrete lot till i was back on the road. These guys didn't have to do that and for that, they have a customer for life. I will be sure to tell my neighbors, family and friends this is the range to go to in Orlando. Went there the other day and the staff was awesome. Had everything I needed. Really enjoyed the experience and look forward to going there again.

Staff seems overly cocky and self assured which make me question their experience and safety in firearms handling. They lack client courtesy and can come across arrogant and disrespectful. I was a range safety officer in the marine corps and do not feel this is a professional operation. I prefer East Orange Shooting Sports, the employees are better mannered and would seem much more patient if you are new to shooting

Two negative reviews indicate a problem. I was looking for a gun range to recommend to my son-in-law and daughter. I don't think this will be the one. I live in the Navarre area and shoot regularly at an outdoor range on a military base. I know how important it is for the staff to be considerate, polite and patient. Thanks to all who took the time to write a review, both positive and negative.

Highly recomended. The last time I went to Oak Ridge Gun Range it was the old location. The new range is a great facility, clean, safe, and the staff is very knowledgable. I wanted to get my wife into shooting and more comfortable around guns. The staff was very helpful and made her first experience excellent. We have been going once a month now and just purchased her first gun. We always have a good time and great customer service. I think this is the best indoor range and I highly recomend it to anyone.

My husband and I took our conceald weapons class here. The first guy that started the program was very friendly and patient but second guy that took after we had a break was very rud, fast and impatient. My husband even reminded him that we were new to guns and using of guns but he still contiouned to be very rude, I'll never forget how he treated us, i wish some people would remember we were all a matures at one time. We will never return to this range, and do not recomand it!

I visited this range recently and found it to be a very friendly place to target shoot. The employees are very knowledgable about firearms. the cost is very cheap. $20.00 to rent an unlimited selection of guns. I can recommend this as a safe place to learn or just come and shoot. they have an large selection of firearms both handguns and rifles. I had a small problem with one of my pistols after shooting, hte gunsmith looked at it and found that the slide was just a bit dry. he oiled it and the pistol worked fine. also there was no charge. NOW THAT IS REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE.. I intend to return to this range when ever my schedule allows. If in orlando and you have a choice of gun ranges to attend. Go to Oakrige gun range for a very pleasent shooting experience.
