Dr. Cynthia Gries is a board-certified critical care physician with advanced fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine who is part of the medical team at the AdventHealth Transplant Institute. She joined AdventHealth from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, where she was an assistant professor of medicine and immunology. Dr. Gries earned her medical degree at the University of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. She completed her pulmonology and critical care medicine fellowship at the University of Washington (UW) and also holds a master’s degree in epidemiology from UW. Prior to her tenure in Pittsburgh, she served on the UW faculty as a lung transplant sub-specialist.
