On 9/2 /11 my husband, son-in-law, daughter, and two grandchildren age 13 and 10 went to Toko Wako for dinner. We all ordered adult meals. This is not a day that the specials are offered for its a Friday. At our tappan table there was one other couple sitting at the end of our table. They ordered ONE ORDER OF SHRIMP AND STEAK DINNER TO SHARE AND REQUESTED AN EXTRA PLATE, and ordered one extra soup. When the Chef came out he greeted them and never stopped talking to them the whole time he was cooking, about family when they are getting together again etc. It was quite obvious they were family. He then started our fried rice and between talking and having the burner set a little to high for he burned the bottom portion of our rice and gave them both fried rice larger portions then ours, mind you she didn't order that extra. Then he started to do our shrimp, scallops, and calamari, he kept talking and over did the scallops which were mine, and when he put out the calamari steaks he only put out 2 AND THREE OF US ORDERED SHRIMP AND CALAMARI, SO WE WERE SHORTED A CALAMARI STEAK. When he divided the shrimp he gave them both shrimp larger portions than us and my granddaughter who is 10 didn't get any, my daughter and I shared some of ours with her.She should of gotten 2 she always has before. Mine you on 5 of our orders we ordered expensive plates with shrimp and a second item. I mentioned her shrimp and he ignored me and kept talking to them. I also know he regularly doesn't do the tappan he works somewhere else maybe tables for he said this is the 5th time hes done the tappan grill cooking now and likes it better because of tips. Then it gets better when he did the vegetables he asked them what vegetables they liked and they choose mushrooms and onions so the only got that and we got what was left mainly zucchini, I couldn"t beleive it! When he did the steaks and chicken, he asked them if they wanted the fat the man said,yes so he cut it up and fried it infront of me "gross". He divided the steaks ok, but for the chicken he gave her chicken too, they didn't order chicken. He again asked them if they wanted the bean sprouts they didn't so he almost didn't do them and when he did he barley cooked ours.

When all our tickets came at the end the man at the end told his wife quite loudly "honey we got a 50% discount" she told him hush up.

I wanted to complain to the manager but he wasn't available and my kids told my husband & I not to make scene.

I've never been treated like this, and we have ate here many times before and know what we should of recieved.

Great sushi place on of the best in the city. They also have the cleanest and newest vent for the cooking stations. I love to eat hear the fish floor is the best
