MAAC Project Head Start is a social service program serving low-income children and their families in North County, Calif. The program offers children between the age of 3 to 5 and their families with comprehensive services to promote optimum physical, cognitive, social and emotional growth. It provides the parents with several educational options that provide the child with a nurturing and educational environment. These include a center base-full day/part day Family Child Care Program and Home Base and Combination Option Programs. MAAC Project Head Start supports parents in their role as the primary caregivers and teachers of their children. The program is a part of MAAC Project, a multipurpose social service agency with a 45-year history of serving various communities throughout San Diego County and surrounding areas.
