Needing a custom replacement axle for our jet boat trailer, and with recommendation from a friend, my wife went to Triple Crown Trailers, Inc while visiting family in Ocala. She did not have the original axle, but had precise measurements as outlined by Triple Crown. She ordered the axle through Tim.
Two days later she picked up the axle and drove the 5½ hours home to NW Florida. The axle was 5” too long. Whomever made it, made a mistake in the measurements. Very annoying, but sometimes, things just happen.
My wife called Tim and explained that the $350+ axle was wrong. His reply was “there’s nothing we can do about it.” He then began to blame my wife for the screw-up. HER measurements were wrong. SHE should have checked it when she picked it up. Even though HE wrote the measurements from where she had them on her phone, she checked them and signed the order, and now it was wrong, Tim was taking no blame. His only solution was for her to “find somebody up there to cut it and weld it back together.” Her response, “that’s not what I paid $350+ for.”
When she asked to speak to the owner (Mark?), Tim’s response – “That’s not gonna happen.”
My wife reluctantly decided that she would take the axle back to have Triple Crown fix their mistake. Tim was, again, condescending and took no ownership of the mistake. After an 11 hour round trip ($100+ in gas) and another two days away, she finally had the axle correctly fixed.
The axle is great. It’s the ONLY thing that was good about the experience. In my 60 years I have NEVER seen such a disgusting, rude, disrespectful example of Customer Service. This would be the seminar on how NOT to run a business. I am sure she wasn’t allowed to talk to the owner because Tim has likely done this before and knew he was wrong and should be fired.
It’s sad that what turned out to be a quality axle, though a bit too pricey, had to be associated with a pitiful excuse for customer service by some guy with apparent Napoleon issues.

Great Service, great response and great price. Resolved the issue in no time. I would definitely recommend this place.

Initially quoted me under $200 and was told would take one hour worth of labor to complete the job to come in under $200. After the work was performed, the bill was over $400 and took a total of 4 hours labor. I will not do business with again if they can't estimate their work time any better than that. also was quoted the job would be finished in 2 days....as of today it has been 9 days!!!!
