Welcome to Dr. Bill's Learning Center! Dr. Bill's Learning Center is a tutoring service located in Oak Park, Illinois, serving the surrounding areas. Our mission is to encourage education of the whole child through a tutoring curriculum that instills a love of learning, a sense of responsibility and a genuine respect and concern for others. Our teachers make certain that students learn or relearn all foundational and fundamental material that has been missed, forgotten or incompletely or improperly learned. We offer after school and weekend tutoring year round at two centers. The staff of Dr. Bill's Learning Center works to make sure that students understand the assignments they are given in school, while continuing to further expand their educational base. Courses are 8-weeks or 16-weeks for grades 2 through 10. The tutors are all experienced and certified service facilitators. Also, there are culturally relevant resources for African-American and Latino-American Diaspora. There are multifaceted instructions for diverse learning styles including: ~ Spelling Bee ~ Photo Biography ~ Writing ~ Art Therapy Writing ~ Musical Phonemics Also included in our tutoring program is computer assisted instruction, organization skill streaming and other evaluative and clinical services if recommended. Dr. Bill's Learning Center works with children with the following: ~ Attention Deficit Disorder ~ Test Taking Anxiety ~ Mild or Moderate Learning Disorders ~ Traumatic Separation History ~ Achievement Gap ~ Motivation Deficit We do this through education rehabilitative and enhancement services that include screening, diagnosis and treatment. An evidence based guided, but flexible format allows the specialists, facilitators and tutors to use strategies that are tailored to address each child's learning style, skills, interests and needs.
