My wife and I have been regulars every other weekend since moving to Oak Forest in 2010. This morning my wife ordered crepes. She took one bite and said it was horrible. She sent it back (The first time in 7 years that I have ever seen her send anything back). The manager came over and told her the food was not bad and that if she wanted something else, she would have to pay for it on top of the meal she refused to eat as there was nothing wrong with it and he can't throw away food. She simply wanted some plain pancakes instead and we even offered to pay for the higher priced crepes if they could substitute it for her. He refused and offered to bring the crepes back otherwise she would have to pay full price for whatever else she wanted. He walked away and my wife began to cry out of frustration and embarrassment. The waitress then came over and said that she talked to the manager and the crepes would be taken off of the bill. I finished my meal and went to pay. The manager rang me up and handed me the bill and said "Well, I told the waitress that she could take the meal off the bill but she didn't and since I already charged you I can't take it back" So I kept my cool and paid the full bill but let him know that the $7.00 meal just cost him a set of regular customers from here on out as we will never be back. I can't even say that the food is bad, just the way the manager handled this one situation with regular customers was very poor and he'll never get another penny of our business ever again.
