Saint Louis RV: Very bad sales and service

Run, just RUN!!! Travers and STLRV are owned and operated by the same people. We bought our RV at STLRV . It currently has warranty work needing done. We were prepared to drive it back to Elkhart Indiana to get the work done at the manufacturers as apposed to letting stlrv do it. Everything they touched they broke. Cut out the ground wire in the pin box working on an indicator issue that ended up melting our breakaway switch. Installed an EMS but didnt bolt it down or tighten ANY of the wires. Hey, they even installed a new washer/dryer and smashed the side of the dryer putting it in. Know what they did about that? They put caulk over the smash to hide it. They also broke the knobs on it and tried to hide the fact. Great guys those. I heard they transferred the tech that did that to our RV to Travers. Then I heard they fired him from Travers. The saddest part of all that was a statement the PDI tech said AFTER he had done this damage and tried to hide it from us. His words: "I prayed that you would love your new RV" ?!?. Our RV was promoted with the largest TV for an RV at 58 inches. It didnt work during the PDI so they replaced it with a 55 inch TV and told us it was a 58 inch. The drip tray they installed for the washer only had 3 sides making it a run off tray. The plate that goes between the washer and dryer was put on backwards. The metal plate that was supposed to be on the back was now on the front so when they dropped the dryer on top it smashed the buttons. So what did the tech do? Got a grinder out and put the grinder to it. Awesome. Not!. The one leak the PDI tech said he fixed he didnt but he did create another one when he installed the washer. The 6 inches of tape he used to hold the dryer vent on fell off the very first use, took a while to figure out why the humidity in the RV was so high when using the dryer. Emailed the general manager about our issues, guess what he said? Well, I'm not too sure what he said because he has ignored my multiple emails. This is just some of the issue we have experienced. We have bought 4 RVs locally over a 30 year period and never have we experienced anything like what we have with stlrv and the travers group. Use these *@$#$ at your own risk. Oh, and in case anyone from the travers group is reading this, thanks for the inspiration.

Bought a new motor coach from Thor which was delivered with the sink not hooked up, a non working door step, a leaking of wind and water from the front bull nose roof and a non working nav and camera unit. Sent by Thor to St Louis RV for warranty work which they made an appointment for but claimed when we arrived they did not do warranty work from June-Sept but agreed to take it. 25 days later I went and got the RV and nothing had been done. They are the lying bastards of the world. Many phone calls claimed they were working with Thor although Thor denies ever talking with them. James Price the service advisor, an obvious elementary school drop out, continued to lie to my face and never was able to return my calls. Took the motor coach to another shop and will pay for the work that should be done by warranty. Stay away from St Louis RV Service and also stay away from Thor. I purchased my RV may 15, 2016 and have used 5 days as of August 15 as it has been in service.

Brought in my rv for a leaking shower, which caused the insulation in the underbelly to become soaked in water. It took 3 1/2 weeks for a job they billed at roughly 9 hours. When picking up my unit, Nelson told me the smell was the glue they used and it would go away. Which in fact was the mold that had started to grow while sitting on their lot for three plus weeks, (which they told me was replaced). Took it on small 2 week trip, surprise the shower was still leaking and my underbelly was full of mold. I reluctanly brought the rv back to them, and was told there would be no cost to me. They played a he said, she said blame game about why the insulation wasn't replaced. I was then forced to pay for the insulation to be ripped out and replaced. They gave me a "break", and only charged me $700, and had my unit for around a week.

2 weeks later, it's obvious the mold problem is not repaired. You can smell the mold from the outside and all through the inside of the trailer.
