This review is for the Ofallon IL Police Department, particularly officer N. Grouph. I am a Staff Segeant in the Army. On 3/29/15 I was pulled over for the "light on license plate not being bright enough" so he says on my way to work. While pulled over he discovers a traffic warrant in which I had a lawyer quash. I told him about the situation and also told him I had the paperwork but he was the rudest cop ever. He said it didn't matter and he had to arrest me. While being arrested he secured the cuffs on me ridiculously tight and his demeanor was rude and unprofessional the whole time. He ask me if I had someone to get my car so that it is not towed. I replied, "Sir, its 2 O clock in the morning.. I don't have anyone but if possible can I simply park my car at Steak n Shake or at the Gas Station which was seconds away to save the tow charge" He rudely replied, "No! Then requested the tow. I was then took to Ofallon Police Department, arrested and booked while still in my Army uniform, transferred to Madison County where I didn't see the judge till Monday at 11 am who took the time to look my warrant up to see that it was quashed but still wasn't released till around 3 pm. In my 11 years in service I have never seen such poor professionalism from someone in uniform. I understand if he had to arrest me but for him to be so rude was uncaused for.
