Ordered a very cute purse cake that I saw displayed in the Novi store. When I went to pick it up it wasn't ready (the owner blamed me for being 45 minutes early). Were they planning to throw it together at the last minute? I waited 20 minutes while they finished the cake. When they showed it to me I was shocked by how sloppy the purse handle was - the cake on display was trimmed with fondant and the handle was made of fondant, the cake they brought out for me was done with soft, gloppy buttercream - not what I was expecting. The handle was lopsided and the frosting on it was not even smooth. Again I was blamed for coming in too early. The owner offered to fix the handle. When I came back 45 minutes later it was not much better. I was never offered an apology or discount. I was told "if you don't want the cake, don't take it". I paid $55 for it hoping that at least it would taste good. Nope. The buttercream tasted like a stick of butter (my kids didn't even like it) the cake was very heavy and dense and the 7 or 8" high cake only had one layer of chocolate filling.



GO TO PASTRY PALACE INSTEAD! They are awesome!
