Apogee Technology develops and markets proprietary products using its Micro-Electromechanical Systems technologies for the automotive, consumer, industrial and medical markets. The company has developed a family of pressures sensors, under the Sensilica brand and is currently developing a MEMS-based medical device for enhanced drug delivery. The company operates a worldwide marketing and sales organization and has offices in the United States, Hong Kong and Japan. In October of 2005, the company sold its audio business, including its DDX technology to SigmaTel, a leader in mixed-signal integrated circuits for the consumer electronics and computing markets. Since 2004, Apogee Technology has introduced its Sensilica-brand of miniature pressure sensor products. The devices are ideal for original equipment manufacturers seeking low cost, high-performance absolute pressure sensing in an extraordinarily small form factor. The company was originally organized in 1987.
