Established in 1996 by Allen Shulman, Northstar Homes, Incorporated is a builder of fine custom homes on Chicago's North Shore. Allen has been in the home building business since 1986 when he joined Red Seal Development Corporation, a company founded by his grandfather, Joe Horwitz, in 1934. Mr. Horwitz was known for his honesty, his quality homes, and the personal touch that he brought to each home and customer. Allen founded Northstar Homes based on this proven formula for success. Northstar Homes uses an open book accounting approach to building each new home. Customers are therefore confident that the final cost of their home equals the actual cost of construction plus the builder's fee, without any mark-ups or hidden costs. By sharing actual costs with its customers, Northstar Homes is able to provide a building experience based on trust and confidence, with the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
