I got an agent from The Acting Corps! I had almost no credits going in, a couple student films, and that was all. I went through the program at The Acting Corps, both Boot Camp 1 and 2, then the advanced program, and then there was an industry showcase that I got to be a part of. Everyone in the showcase booked an agent or manager. Each and very one of them! I am told this is usually the case. Before the Acting Corps, people would say I would never get an agent without credits, but I did! This speaks to how great the training at the Acting Corps is. Now I am starting to build credits!

I was super frustrated the first week because I struggled with Meisner, I was very in my head. But then I started to get it, and by the end, I just love the Meisner Technique. I still have to do a lot more work; I am no expert, but it's really opened me up already, and I'm only going to get better as I find my truth in the moment. It's still scary, feels like I am stripped bare, but a good kind of scary. I recommend the Acting Corps very much.

It was a number of years I attended The Acting Corps, but I still rate them as one of the best (of man) schools I have attended. While it's not the only great school I have discovered, is is the one I owe my foundation to and to this day I recommend them. I like their non-traditional Meisner that "throws you in the deep end." Also, the work on text in their Boot Camp program from the first week.

I'm new to town, still figuring things out, and learning the ropes of the industry at The Acting Corps. I'm in Boot Camp I right now. I previously did theater in high school, college, did videos with friends and some community theater, so I wasn't green going in, but Meisner is new to me. It's a different way of looking at performance, and in a way, life. I gather that The Acting Corps teaches it in a slightly different and faster way then other places, and I love it. I haven't been to those other places, but I like that it's faced paced. I have never been accused of being overly patient. Also love the scene study class. Great instruction. Safe place to fail and learn from it.

Meisner can be a harsh mistress, but it's the best foundation out there for actors. I learned Meisner at The Acting Corps. I know some people take if for years, and good for them, but I loved the accelerated program. It was hard at first because I am a large man. I'm fat! And I had to let it effect me when someone said it in repetition. In life, I've developed a thick skin (and belly) and I deflect with self deprecating humor. The first time I was called out on it I actually responded with a sarcastic "Your observant." Got a big laugh, but then I got called out for not living my truth. I was feeling hurt, but masking it, not letting it effect me. And this shield does carry over to acting. Low I let it in, I let thing effect me. And I lot ten pounds. Still fat!

Which is the safest way that I would become an actor? To study and work hard at the Acting Corps. When I was going to move to Los Angeles, I asked this question on a message board and wanted an easy answer or shortcut. No such thing, there is no substitute for hard work.

How big are your chances if you don't want to put the work in? Zero. I know there are a variety of school in Los Angeles, and I'm sure there are many good ones, but I went to The Acting Corps and they showed me the way.

I loved the Acting Corps, but first a bit about me. I've done lots of horror films for little or no pay. I know the acting isn't what people want to see, it's the boobs and blood. My acting was fine in them and they kept asking me back, but I wasn't booking anything else. So I went to the Acting Corps and leaned a lot in a short time and figured out that my acting was shallow. I'm not doing those horror films anymore- ok, I did do one, but my acting in it was better and the director even mentioned it. And I'm getting callbacks on other projects, it's just a matter of time before I book. Now I just need to get more auditions.

I went here to lean some acting tricks, and I did. I really like the way the teach and what they teach. I recommend them to anyone who is an actor. Great teachers. I feel like I learned more here then at any other place I have studied.

I've been wanting to write this review for a long time. I spent a lot of time looking for a place to start my acting training. This wasn't on a whim but I started this process a few years after high school. I did my research looking for a great acting school which offered a wide variety of classes as well excellent teachers. I found both here. Acting is work, it's a business, it isn't easy. But if you work hard, listen, and practice you will learn a lot. Sometimes feedback can be hard to hear but necessary, I got taken apart a few times (but in a respectful way). It is a special and safe environment with really supportive teachers. I would recommend The Acting Corps without hesitation to any actor, beginning to experienced, as a place to learn or brush up on skills. You can never have too much knowledge and training in this business.

Someday I will be famous, but the way to do that is train. And if you want to train, why not do it five days a week, and that's what I am doing at the Acting Corps. Fame is my main top goal, but I do love all aspects of acting and the process, so that's why I love the classes I'm taking, the Boot Camp. Different classes on different day, but they all fit together like a puzzle to make a complete training regiment. I'm still doing it, but so far it's great and I think it's going to help me on my path to fame and fortune.

I was fortunate enough to end up at the Acting Corps about three months after arriving in Los Angeles. It was more luck then design on my part, bur=t sometimes these things work out for the better. I love the intensity of it and that both the teachers and other students are professional and dedicated, but I guess you have to b a dedicated student if you sign up for a fave days a week program like their Bootcamp!

I'm a voice over actor who wanted to do more so I came to the Acting Corps and signed up for the Boot Ca,p and learned a ton. Even though I have been in and around the industry for many years (mostly foreign voiceover), I didn't even know how much I didn't know about acting. Until the Acting Corps, I never really got what the big deal was with Meisner, sounded weird, repeating. (Funny me saying that as I repeat for a living, just in a different language). But now I get Meisner, and use it. I plan to keep on at The Acting Corps as a bit of a break.

Don't believe all these Meisner purests who say you have to take Meisner for at least two years before you know what the F*** you're doing. Seriously people, it's not rocket science. I mean it is hard, and you have to work at it and be brave enough to go there. The Acting Corps Meisner is great, they get right to it, and the end result is the same. I am sorta seeing a girl who is at the end of her first year at a traditional Meisner school, exact same stuff, but I learned it quicker and did scene work at the same time. Every day you waste is a day you will never get back.

I moved into Los Angeles (Koreatown) in January and The Acting Corps was recommended to me by an actor I know who's been living here for like twenty years. He knows his stuff. It's all good. I loved the balance between technique and scene work. It really was what I needed. I just finished their boot cams, but I plan to stay on with them for the next one.

I've been acting for awhile, but hadn't taken any classes in years. I noticed I wasn't getting the auditions/bookings I used to. At first I chalked it up to the business changing, or getting older. But then I started thing maybe I was getting rusty. I signed up for a Boot Camp, and it got me back in shape and my booking have gone up. (Auditions still a bit light, I think it IS age).

Indiana native, first year in Los Angeles. I hope to be a working actor in the not so distant future, but for now I am just learning a lot very quickly at The Acting Corps. I know I have a ways to go, I'm just in my first month, but I'm loving it.

I have an agent and am auditioning for big projects and I feel I own most of my success to the Acting Corps and the training I received therein. The teachers and staff are second to none and the vibe of the place has no equal.

I did the program, the Professional program followed by the advanced class. (The professional program included Boot Camp I and II). Lots of good stuff in them, but I think Michael Chekhov is my favorite. If you don't know about him, as an actor, you should. You can read about it, but it's not easy to understand unless you actually get on your feet and do it.

I come from a background of conservatory training, so I came to The Acting Corps with some good amount of experience, but even so, there was a lot for me to discover. It's great to have found a place where the teachers are just so fantastic.

As as actor, there is always more to learn, it's an ongoing process. Before I came to The Acting Corps, I knew all the basics and more then a few tricks. I had not taken classes anywhere in awhile and I'd forgotten that training is never finished. I learned so much more at the Acting Corps. New tricks and techniques.
