I’m writing this as a warning to anyone who thinks they are being smart by going here. They are criminally incompetent, and the damage they did to my Ranger truck cost me over a thousand dollars. Here’s my story.

I was returning from my drills with the navy reserves and picked up a nail in one of my tires. I had helped a friend out by buying the wheels and tires off his defunct truck years ago, and figured I’d just have them switched. SO it seemed easy, switch wheels and tires and balance. The only problem is the Ranger has a tire pressure sensor that is beyond my tools and capabilities to switch, so I took it to a presumed professional. Speedy tires quoted $60.00 dollars and two hours to switch.

He spent two days on the effort, and I guess to his credit he didn’t offer to charge me more. They discovered the XLT wheels wouldn’t fit my XL. So they put the new tires on my old rims, and switched the sensors twice in the process. When he finally finished, I paid him an extra $10.00 for the effort. If I had more money to go around, do you think I would of tried to switch old tires? The truck now started to shake at high speed. After spending two days without a truck, and resorting to walking, I’d rather have it balanced by true professionals. I took it to Sam’s Club and they rebalanced the tires. They also stated that whoever did this before was incompetent. Afterwards, the truck still shook.

Fearing the worse, I took the truck to the dealer to have an unbiased person redo it. They discovered that Speedy tires broke 3 of the sensor bands, and reattached them with ZIP ties, the fourth they reattached with copper wires. When the zip ties gave out, the sensors cascaded around the tires completely wrecking them and unbalancing the truck. It cost me over a thousand dollars in parts and labors to fix the truck at Hemborg Ford. I usually don’t like to pick on small business, but at this cost, I’m not sure how I’m going to make my mortgage this month. I took the receipt and the broken zip tie to Speedy and asked them to help out, at least cover the parts their sloppy work broke. He refused, and hence this review. To all potential customers, go ANYWHERE else. To speedy, if you just pay the damage you did to my truck, I’ll take this review down.
