Founded in 1993, Veneer Technologies manufactures and supplies face and sheet veneer and edge banding to the customers in the hardwood, plywood, wood products, furniture and cabinetry industries. It uses more than 90 different species of wood for manufacturing its products. Veneer Technologies operates several cross feed splicers, which produce approximately 5 million finished square feet of face veneer per month. It is primarily a book and running match operation, but also manufactures large amounts of slip, plank, center and balance match. As a member of the Hardwood Forestry Fund, Veneer Technologies plants approximately 4,000 hardwood trees every year on public land throughout the United States. Veneer Technologies employs more than 120 people and maintains a location in Newport, N.C.
