I can't say enough good things about Schock Boats. I moved to an Island in Newport Harbor 2 years ago and was looking at purchasing a nice harbor cruiser for the family which could be both Duffy-like for harbor cruises and a fishing boat for off-shore and good-weather Catalina crossings. I asked all my fellow Newport Harbor friends and neighbors and one name kept coming up: Schock Boats. Upon my first visit, Gary Hess immediately commenced teaching me everything I needed to know about power boats. I took a few weeks to make my decision but he patiently stood by while we asked question after question until ultimately - we pulled the trigger on a 19' boat which met all our needs.

I reside in Chicago but own property in San Diego. As a 60th birthday gift to myself I wanted to purchase a boat to keep in Mission Bay in San Diego. I contacted Schock Boats and my sales person was Gary Hess. Gary worked with me during the whole process making this long distance purchase as easy as possible. In addition to assistance in ordering a new Whaler he and his staff was instrumental is helping me pick out electronics, obtaining financing and insurance coverage. On delivery day Gary organized a sea trial which included Carlos the boat delivery captain for Schock Boats and spent numerous hours going through a complete orientation of my new boat. I would highly recommend Gary Hess and the Schock Boat team for any purchase if your interested in purchasing a boat. When the time comes for me to upgrade to a bigger boat the only phone call I will make is to Schock Boats.

After spending my time bank fishing and suffering through the redneck party fishing barge experience, I decided it was high time to get my own boat for offshore and freshwater fishing (and general family recreation). After much research, I decided to go with Boston Whaler. Living in Central California, I had the option of choosing several dealers for my purchase. After speaking to several dealers in Northern, Central, and Southern California, I had the opportunity to do business with Schock Boats.



I worked with a great salesman - first name Jim - at Schock. I could not have asked for a better experience. He was patient with my litany of questions, no matter how amateurish they were. He didn't pressure me and went out of his way to make sure I had a good buying experience. We did 99% of the transaction via email and phone. My father in law and I went down on the fateful day, did a walk through on the boat, and one hour later, I was headed home with a new boat, all smiles.

In the vernacular of today's youth. Schock boats is Dope. Bought montauk 170. Having a fun time with it. Great transaction.

When you buy quality from a quality dealer, you never have regrets. Scott and Matt at Schock Boats made a scheduled appointment with me in a very professional manner. They kept the appointment and turned out to welcome and service my needs as if I was their only customer. They stood behind their product and totally changed my opinion of Mercury Motors. My little Boston Whaler is no longer dragging its number one cylinder. It has been transformed into an ultra smooth rocket sled.

The Schock Team was professional and extremely knowledgeable Jim Hatch in sales never tried to up-sell any options or pressure us in any way. Carlos in Electronics went out of his way in meeting our various requests for a state of the art, yet, user friendly entertainment system. Carlos also assisted with delivery and operational training. He is a "fountain of knowledge"on anything and everything boat related.
