Love Carrollton...Newnan is frustrating. At least the dentist explained what was had happened and was apologetic for the lack of communication.

Not impressed they told me my insurance company wouldn't cover teeth cleaning for my kids and wanted me to pay the full price for the cleaning. The office staff very rude and don't care

I have been taking my children to My Kidz Dentist since last year. We had no problems at the first visit. Then this past march, my kids had their second regular cleaning appointment. The front office was a little rude, but other then that, we had no issues. A few weeks after the visit, I received my kids EOB in the mail. It said that my daughter (who is 2) was charged out for bitewings. My daughter never had bitewings taken. She only had 2 PA's taken. I was there when the xrays were done. I know what they took because I have my Dental Assisting Certificate and work in the front office of a Dental practice. (I never switched my kids over to my office because I wanted them to keep staying at a kids office.) So I contacted the billing department. I told the lady the situation and she seemed like she didn't "know" what I was talking about. Finally after arguing with her, she "understood" what I was talking about and said she would take care of it. I really felt like she was blowing me off and didn't care, but I was giving her the benefit of the doubt. I thought that was the end of that issue. I was wrong. Then a week ago, I received a letter in the mail stating I owed a "balance" from march but didn't specify for what. So I called the billing department. I got no answer several days in a row. I left voicemails and no one returned my call. So I decided to speak to someone who "makes appts." on their appointment line to try and get this situation fixed. I told the lady on the phone my situation. She told me that the reason I had a balance was because my son had bitewings taken and the insurance doesn't cover it. I then immediately told the lady that I had my son's insurance breakdown in front of me (that I had verified at my office before I called them) that said he was allowed bitewings 1x in12 consecutive months. I told her that if they took the bitewings too early, then that is their fault. They should NOT be charging it to the patient if they made the mistake. When you work up front in a dental office, you HAVE to check history or you won't get paid for something. If the office is too lazy to check it, then they will have a lot of unpaid procedures. I then told the lady I had my daughter's breakdown as well and it STILL says that she had bitewings taken back in march. I told the lady that should of been taken care of months ago. They should of already sent the insurance company a refund for that. The lady told me that she would take care of it. I will be checking back on this. If it isn't take care of within a few weeks, I will be filing insurance fraud on them through my insurance company. So I recommend to anyone who goes there, just be careful and pay attention to what they bill out, exc. I do realize that people make mistakes, but their were several opportunities for them to fix this. I will not be taking my kids back to this office. My kids will be going to my office now.

Takes Long time! Very impersonal

They schedule too many kids at same time so, takes forever! Also VERY impersonal, work done out in open in front every body! Hope your child does not have to be put to sleep. Takes MONTHS for surgery appt. & they do not keep you updated! VERY VERY IMPERSONAL!
