Established in 1979, First Run Features is a group of filmmakers formed in order to expand the distribution of independent films. Based in N.Y. the company is one of the independent theatrical and home video distributors in the United States. The First Run legacy includes films by directors, such as Spike Lee, Rose Troche, Jane Campion and many more. The firm has three divisions namely educational/non-theatrical, DVD Store and In Theaters, which also license its titles to television and cable outlets through the Internet platform. First Run Features Partners with Zipcar, Teaching For Change, Edible Brooklyn, etc.
