When I was 16 in 1970 I bought electronic parts from Southern Radio. I bought the main dial for this radio I made from there. My family used to get shoes from Southern Brace across the corner and while my family was shoe shopping I was allowed to go to Southern Radio and look around. It was great fun for a nerd like me.
