After leaving work two hours early to be on time for my appointment at Golden Afrik in the east, I arrived only to be told that I would have to wait at least 2+ hours before starting my hair. I was also asked to come back tomorrow; however, I had already purchased my hair (thus wanting to use what I purchased) and had plans to go out of town. I then had to explain was I was getting all over again, as if I had never called. To me professionalism (including booking) is just as important as quality work. Unfortunately, lackluster booking procedures seem to be the norm in braiding salons in New Orleans. I am not sure whether I'll be back again. Although, heads up...if you plan on coming here...you might as well not even make an appt. You may as well walk in like the last ahead of me, whose braids were just starting when I walked in. I guess she got to have the 2:00pm appointment that I booked in advance.

Been coming here for over 5yrs, never had any complaints. Very fast and nice staff! :)

The quality of work is top of the line.
