Provided by YP.comTucked off the beaten path, but well worth the find. A blend of traditional New Orleans music with creative innovations. Slammin' food.

Provided by YP.comMy family and I visited the Bistreaux in July and were pleasantly surprised by not only the food, but the entertainment as well. The food was nothing short of delicious and the wait staff was very accommodating.
The piano player, Paul, was extremely talented and had a rather expansive knowledge of jazz history, which was very interesting. He interacted with everyone in the room and kept us involved throughout the night. We had the best time.
We ended up staying for 2 sets and I have decided to have my birthday party there later this month!! I cannot wait to go back there and bring all my friends. I will make sure to make this place a regular stop when we are in town!

Provided by YP.comI felt really lucky to find this "hidden gem" in the Maison Dupuy Hotel. The room is cozy with big windows that give a great view of the streets outside. In addition to having a wide variety of foods and wines on the menu, the prices were affordable. Our server, Ashlie, was knowledgeable and friendly and recommended the truffle fries and the crab tacos. Outstanding! My date had the crabcake and it was magnificent. And a blueberry waffle for dessert?! Great stuff!
In addition, there was a piano player - Paul - who was very talented and entertaining. In addition to fielding our Sinatra requests, he gave a mini-history of New Orleans music. And we loved singing "Ham and Eggs!"
Really nice evening at a really nice spot...we'll be back anytime we're in town.
