I scheduled with Salego via my home warranty. They took a week to come assess my AC/Furnace. Salego said it would take 2-3 days for the parts to come in. After 10-days, I called to ask when they would install the parts. Salego told me they were "too busy with other customers." Finally, they came and installed the parts while I was at work. When I returned home from work, the AC/Furnace were still not working. I immediately called Salego, and they said that I must have broken the AC/Furnace again (while I was at work!). I demanded they come that night or the next morning because the temperature was 90-degrees outside. They finally agreed to come the next day, but never showed up. They lied multiple times, such as stating they would come that following day when they never showed up, they also initially said they were not working the next day, which was clearly untrue, they promised to have a supervisor call me which never occurred, and they said the AC/Furnace was working when they installed the parts. I finally gave up and fixed the AC/Furnace myself: there was a blown fuse that would have prevented the AC/Furnace from turning on, and the electrical board was wired completely incorrectly. I was able to follow the manual to re-wire the board, which took all of 5-minutes, and the auto-shop down the road had the fuse. I gave Salego a week to allow a supervisor to call me and/or to refund my $75 deductible before I would post a negative review and send a complaint to the BBB. They never called or returned my money.

Contacted Peoples Gas repair program for the furnace not working. Salego came and said the filter was clogged from construction in the basement. Then said the exhaust pipe needs replaced. They would ask Peoples if its covered then call me for appt. Receptionist called made appt. Failed to mention it wasnt covered. Tech came out replaced the pipe and left. No invoice. 3 weeks later I get a $400 bill in the mail. Pretty slick operators. Gives Peoples a real black eye.

i.e., A local favorite, or highly recommended becauseI wish I didn't have to give any stars!! This place is the most horrible business I've ever dealt with. Having an HSA warranty they were dispatched to my home for no heat. HSA should be ashamed that they associate with this sorry excuse for a company. NO HEAT for 10 DAYS!! These morons diagnosed the furnace with an original issue with a blower motor. Then an electrical board in the furnace to a heat exchanger!!! No communication, like talking to a wall. The only person you ever speak with is the receptionist. Being fed up I phoned Acomfort heating in North Hills. Technician had heat on in 30 minutes, no additional parts ie: electrical panel, heat exchanger etc. YES!! 30 mins, he however had to clean up the riff raff mess the techs made. PITIFUL company. HSA is refunding the cost (230$) of the unauthorized company charges. The BBB and Attorney General will be notified of this highway robbery moronic company!!! STAY AWAY!!

If possible, use another company. The technicians and their dispatch don't communicate properly, so I have a guy coming out the first year to detect a gas leak and I have an oil furnace. Got charged and the problem wasn't fixed because he didn't "have the right tools with him". The next year I had a cleaning done and the technicians left my house knowing the system had problems and wasn't clean. So I had another guy come out to do a full analysis and he barely even acknowledged my presence or responded to the problems I told him-- mainly intermittent soot being spit out and loud vibrations on cycle startup. So I called them back and complained TWICE and the main tech said he'd contact his boss and get my problem straightened out, though he let me know without looking at my system that he didn't think there was anything wrong. They didn't call back. Now the problems aren't so intermittent-- got oil smell and soot in the vents blowing into my house regularly, with CO and CO2 probably at dangerous levels.

check other places first. They told us it was a switch/two days for part to arrive/five days to repair. expense for incorrect diagnosis ONLY =$150 actually needed a new blower motor/parts & labor = $230 Lesson learned.

wrote a previous review about company not returning my air handling equipment and need to update review. Company has returned equipment (after 3 weeks). But a screw-nut type piece is missing. Called to report this & was told it was gone as they "rescued" my equipment from their junk pile. I paid for this equipment! They had no right to discard and assume I didn't want! For all I know my equipment can be repaired- I'll have to find out, but the point is they just discarded my equipment as trash and think that is the correct way to do business.

Not a fan of this service. Purchased furnace, air conditioner, & air cleaner. Called for service call when part broke off air cleaner. Wanted $850 for replacement air filter which I refused so they installed disposable air cleaner instead. They have yet to return my original air cleaner and claim they don't get to my area often to return it. They could and should have left part when they returned to install disposable air filter. Would not recommend as they don't stand behind their products & don't care about customers!

I contacted Salego Heating after becoming disatisfied with my current hvac company. They had dispatched out a young man who was able to diagnose my furnace based off of the make and my discription of the issue, and showed me how to prevent the issue in the future. The only reason I am rating this company 4 of 5 stars is the fact that they could not give me a window of time for my service call, but with that said I would recommend them to any of my friends or family.
