The Nevada County Consolidated Fire District is a full-service public safety agency that supports a variety of public education programs by offering child, adult and senior safety, as well as injury prevention education throughout its community. It participates in many annual events that include fire prevention and child passenger safety weeks, county fairs, kids festivals and home shows. The fire district also supports the Day of the Young Child, Sober Grad Night and SafeKids. With a station in Nevada City, Calif., the Nevada County Consolidated Fire District also provides various station tours and presentations. It operates an emergency communication and dispatch center that responds to service calls, including medical aids, fires, accidents and hazardous incidents.
