History: A family owned business was started in the 60s as Young Contractors, in Memphis, Tennessee by my father, Reese Young, who was a member of the Cement Masons Union Local 521, where I served my apprenticeship and became a journeyman cement finisher. We started our business pouring footings, footings walls, slab on grade, and tilt up panels. In the early 70s I started W.R. Young Construction Company in Memphis, where I gained the confidence of several clients (General Contractors) that we made volume pours. We started pouring warehouse slabs and tilt up panel. Some of the panels we finished we Rock, Expose Agerate, Broom, and hard trowel. On a normal day we would pour from 20,000 to 40,000 sq ft of hard trowel finish slab. Normally we pour areas up to fifty thousand square feet of finish floor (hard trowel) per day however we can make the necessary adjustments to pour more if needed. We take great pride in the excellence of our work. We feel that will take us far into the 21st century.
