Gerry Barrasso, CPA, CFP®, PFS, is a Registered Investment Advisor and the founder of United Financial Planning Group, LLC, a fee-only advisory firm providing financial planning, tax and accounting services. He offers nearly two decades of financial advisory experience. Gerry holds the following professional designations: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Personal Financial Specialist (PFS). He's an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). Mr. Barrasso launched his professional career in 1991 as a CPA for Price Waterhouse, transitioning to Corporate Controller of a leading public company on Long Island soon thereafter. Following several years in corporate finance, Gerry co-founded several highly successful real estate firms in the tri-state area, managing and overseeing more than 125 employees and annual revenues exceeding $10M. During this time, Mr. Barrasso gained a decade of experience in the growth and expansion of start-ups while mastering the art of personal finance.
