Terry's Plumbing installed a water heater for us when ours broke. Another plumbing company came out to fix an unrelated problem and noted that the water heater was not installed to code (it was lacking an expansion tank and rigid copper was not used). When I contacted the company, the owner claimed that they always notify customers when they are about to install something not to code, yet we were never informed at the time of installation. Now, they are willing to come back out and install it, but for an additional fee. What a terrible business practice to install something improperly and then charge extra to fix it.
