Contractors are funny. They think they can charge you too much, be rude and threaten you will all kinds of ill if you don't take them and then get away with it.



I got four bids, and this guy stood out of the bunch. He charged me 1.2x more than the other guys which was about $2000. He then became rude and menacing and threatened me with my roof falling in to having to do it over again to repainting my house over and over to even law suits if I didn't take him. He told me this after I told him I was GETTING OTHER BIDS, and he would just have to wait for an answer. His price was just like eveyone elses, he SWORE, I was stuck with him no matter what. HA! Everyone else was MUCH less than him AND not so nasty.



He then started the pity tactic just to try to get a bid- the poor man is barely breaking even....etc.



The other guys are just as reputable and have been at it just as long. They all have good records.



He's NOT GETTING THE JOB, needless to say. I found two good companies elsewhere. When I've decided on one and they do they roof, I'll give them an evaluation and see how they do.



Stay away from this guy unless you want to pay extra.
