Communication with this company is severely lacking. When we had Lorenzo come out, he took measurements and called a couple days later with a verbal bid. I called asking a question. Never received a return call. Next my wife called, spoke to him about getting our questions answered. He assured her he'd call back. A week later, no word. If you're interested in two way communication, I wouldn't recommend this company. No answers, no details, no customer relations.

I read the other (unfavorable) review of this business before I hired them for a $21000 project. I also got other bids from local fence installation companies. My decision to give Professional Fence my money was mostly because of price and the fact that their logo can be found on many other quality projects across the Prescott Valley area. There were also no complaints filed against them with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. However, like another review, communication was indeed a problem, which cost me time and money in the end.



Professional Fence has been around for a long time and it shows in their overall work. Unfortunately, their business practices have barely progressed into the 21st Century. No e-mail communication is available and any documentation is all hand-written, missing many details of the job. Regardless, a firm handshake still goes a long way. So does being present as much as possible when work is being done to make sure it is done right.



Pros:

- Owner of business English speaking.

- Multitalented crews with several trade skills to get the job done.

- Allowed me to use their jackhammer, thereby saving me money on a rental.

- Worked in rough weather to get the job done.

- Owner persistent in acquiring backordered raw materials.



Cons:

- On site crews understand little English and had difficulty comprehending what I required. Multiple orders for raw materials had to be made and instructions misunderstood or ignored.

- Washed out paint on neighbors property, requiring their labor-intensive removal later on and bad relations with my neighbor.

- Poor workmanship on custom gates. Redoing the project myself would be cost-prohibitive due to the high cost of vinyl fencing.

- Borrowed my tools due to failure to bring along their own, machine malfunction, or poor maintenance of their equipment.

- Owner doesn't provide much feedback or updates on job unless asked.



Bottom line, I would recommend Professional Fence for any farm fencing project, but nothing ornamental or where ascetics are important. You get what you pay for and if you aren't obsessive about how the finished project looks, then Professional Fence is a bargain.

Do not work with these guys. I was working with a man by the name of Lorenzo. After he came and took measurements for an estimate he said he would call in about 3 days. 1 week later I called to get an estimate and he said he would call the next day( for those of you keeping track this is the 1st time he forgot about us). He called the next day with an estimate and he was the lowest so we told him we would like to proceed with the order. He said they would start in two weeks. Three weeks later I call to find out what was up and he said the order hasn't come in yet and he would check with the company and call me back that day. 2 days later I hand't recieved a call(2nd time) so I call him. He apologizes and says that he called them but they haven't returned his call and will try again. Same thing happened as above and I had to call again. This time he says that he doesn't know what happend and would figure it out and get it going. I wait again, go on vacation, busy with work so some time passes without hearing from the guy. I decide I will give this guy another call(4th time). This time I let the guy know I'm pissed in a controlled manner. Come to find out that he says Home Depot was who he placed the order with(not the same company he said he originally ordered it through) and they don't know what happened and why the order hasn't come through. LOL!!! Like HD doesn't know how to find out what happened to an order!?!? So I ask him for the order number so I can check with HD and he says he is out of the office and will call me that night. Guess what!!!?? no call back! Surprise(for those of you keeping track thats 5 times)! Needless to say that was it and I am going with someone else. Do not use this company. What poor customer service. I would imagine their product follows their poor performance...
