My boyfriend had his car towed from my apartment complex for no fault of maxx auto. He was also out of the country, so unable to come pay to pick it up which posed several obstacles to getting it out. After both him and I explained to maxx auto our dilemma, our questions were met with abrupt, rude and extremely unhelpful responses from an irritated lady who had no desire to help is. Bad business. Bad attitudes. Bad company.

On August 23 I paid $20 to park in a dirt lot 3 blocks from the stadium on 17th Avenue for a preseason Bronco game. I returned to find my car GONE, and only after talking with the police to report it stolen did the police tell me it was a scam! Called Maxx towing and was told I couldn't pick up my car til the following Monday unless I paid $299 cash. Maxx towing driver admitted that this was a scam by the alleged owner of the unlicensed, unsigned, dirt lot...and that they didn't get any written statement from this owner (to comply with the law re towing) but that they weren't at fault. Actually, after a Channel 9 investigative report in 2011, the City tried to educate the public that this type of towing is illegal and that violators would lose their license. It appears that the illegal towing business is on the rise again, and MAXX, who admits to their being a scam at this address, still keeps towing cars. I advise anyone to look up the Municipal Code re illegal towing (Sec. 54-419 and 55-178). In short, in Denver it is illegal to tow a car in almost every case w/o vehicle owner' s consent..the most an owner can do is call the police to have the car ticketed.

These people have the worst business ethical morals. They will rip you off and tow your car in the middle of the night. Maxx stands for maximum charges to you for some very ridiculous charges. I absolutely hate this business establishment and hope some one can sue them for their immoral ethical business approach.
