This guy has a PhD in pork. The best ribs you ever had with a great assortment of sides and a dessert bar. Joe Dee is the uncle you wish you had that could come over and do a pig roast for the ages. Super friendly crew very knowledgeable about real deal bbq. Could not have been happier.

wow! i am almost speechless and don't know where or how to begin to describe to you how FANTASTIC everything was for hugh's 40th birthday luau bash this past saturday.



first off let me tell you how truly wonderful keith and chris were--such gentlemen from the minute they arrived to the minute they left. so well-mannered, polite, funny, interactive with us and our guests, neat, clean and so on top of their game! you have two wonderfully hard-workers in those two guys!



and the food...OUTRAGEOUS!!!! so fresh, delicious and plentiful! our guests cannot stop raving about how wonderful everything tasted. my favorite were the wings and the pig, of course! i have received three thank you emails from friends saying what a wonderful time they had and how awesome the food was. i have recommended your company to quite a few people who weren't even at the party! i used some of the leftover pork to make tamales! wow, were they delicious!



thank you just doesn't seem adequate to tell you how truly grateful i am to have found your website and have used your services. hugh's 40th was more than memorable! you will, without a doubt, hear from us in the future.

Less than a month ago I decided to host a surprise 30th Birthday Party for my wife. I have hosted several events at my house this past summer and cooked for them with the help of my wife. For this event I did not have her assistance for obvious reasons. I came across Long Island Luau Catering and put my full faith in them. What better way to end the summer than with a luau? Joey Dee presented his business clearly and with confidence. He was flexible with his menu. I had 45 adults and 15 children and he made appropriate suggestions to my menu to ensure that all guests were pleased.



He offered wait staff that arrived early and assisted in setup, serving and clean up. They were all courteous, professional, friendly and knowledgible of the food they were serving. The food was outstanding!!!! There was not one item that I would of gone back to leave off the menu. If anything I am curious about other items I could have order had I a bigger appetite. My guests raved about the food and service they provided.



The most important opinion was my wife's. She has high standards and was thoroughly satisfied! We loved everything so much we were up have a midnight snack.



I look forward to the next event that I can have Joey Dee and his team cater. And if I am not the host I will definitely recommend it for someone elses event.

This was a great experience for us! Joey Dee comes with this huge grill that he built himself (Joey was an iron worker many years ago before conquering the world of BBQ) and grills up great food. We had corn on the cob, whole chickens, Hawaiian Short Ribs that have an amazing flavor, pulled pork which was out of this world, some dogs and burgers and several sides including a terrific potato salad unlike any other. Joey also supplied plates, napkins, utensils, salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard and a wonderful BBQ sauce. The whole thing went extremely well with plenty for our 75 or so guests to eat. The price was very reasonable and we will definitely have him back to cater our other events.

This family run business is what every business should strive to be. From the initial phone call through to the end of my affair this company displayed a level of professionalism and execution that exceeded my expectations, and trust me, my expectations are HIGH. I spoke to several other caterers and Joe and his family focused on my party with the attitude that my event was a special and unique event, instead of the more common cookie cutter approach of "pick a menu and pay me" approach so common these days.



I felt like family from the first phone call and by the end of my daughter's graduation party, I knew it would the first of many times I called Long Island Luau to help me throw a great party.



The only thing equal in comparison to the service and dedication this group of people bring to the table is the quality of the food they provide. To say that my guests and my family were "blown away" would be an understatement. I know food, and you only get that good if you're passionate about what you do and give it 150%.



If you want an absolutely fabulous party with the absolute absence of stress, these are the people you want to cater your party or event.

Joe was great from coming to meet us to discuss different menu options to the final cleanup and everything in between. We had approx.115 guests and there was plenty of food and everyone loved all of it. We started with burgers and hotdogs in the afternoon and went to full pig roast, chicken, short ribs and one of the best rice dishes we had ever tasted. In our opinion he should get 10 stars he was great start to finish. May we also reccomend the frozen drink machine for pina coladas and strawberry daquiris they were a hit. I would reccomend him to anyone looking for something a little different than your average caterer.
