At first Dr. Beatty blew my socks off with his directness, knowledge, and with how absolutely thorough he was. With time I found that all of the tests, time spent, and "required" appointments to "efficiently care" for the patient was all for the money. When it gets right down to it, he really doesn't care. When I say care, I actually mean he doesn't care about the patient's health. Additionally, one has to wait hours for a med refill, monthly, even for the insignificant meds. Most of the staff is horribly rude and is incapable of compassion. I had acquired a horrible thrush in my mouth (white spots throughout my mouth), a result of an excess of antibiotics from sinus surgery. I had also been suffering for a couple years from stomach/back pain episodes. At the time I thought it might be a reaction from the fasting I had to do for a colonoscopy, whereby the thrush was found to have spread down my esophagus and stomach. A day later, my mouth and throat was in pain, and when I swallowed water I could feel it run down. The GI doctor said she couldn't prescribe anything until the labs came back 7-10 days later, but if she could get an ok by my primary doctor (Beatty), she would go ahead and call it in. Of course the doctor couldn't prescribe without seeing me, but an "ok" would've sufficed. We're talking about mild anti-fungus meds here, and it was just like waiting for lab results for chicken pox. Dr. Beatty demanded that I set an appointment (even though I had just seen him a week prior), and he couldn't even fit me in for another week! I have always been a paying patient, and have paid him countless dollars in total the past year, and I was completely abandoned to suffer. He didn't even bother to tell me about any natural remedies that I later found online, thank goodness, and followed them strictly. Doctors that lead you to believe that they're something exceptional, Christian even, and put the dollars before the medicine should not ethically practice medicine. Period.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Beatty for over 4 years. He has always provided us with his undivided attention, he has been thorough, comprehensive, and dedicated to diagnosing the cause of any ailment or concern I or my wife has had. He has offered the same dedication to my children as well. His office is clean and welcoming, the staff are courteous and polite, and it is always a pleasure visiting his office. If you are having any issues with pain, or are simply seeking a good personal or family physician, I wholeheartedly suggest paying Dr. Beatty a visit.

Dr. Beatty is an exceptional Doctor. He strives to provided you with the best care available . He takes his time to make sure you understand detail's for the issue you currently have . He takes his time and cares for each patient need as an individual. He office is clean and kept nice . Peaceful music plays and there is a T.V to give you entertainment. He strives to get his patients in and out on time while taking care of them in a timely matter. His staff are friendly and work hard to make sure the doctors patients get up on time. I would recommend Dr. Beatty to anyone who needs professional and exceptional Pain and Primary care.

Dr. Beatty is a great doctor. He takes his time and listens to you. Not a rude doctor very nice person that cares about his patients. Very efficient I highly recommend Dr. Beatty.

I've met careless doctors up today. Not Dr. Beatty his a great doctor a very kind professional responsible & caring doctor whom takes the time to truly see how he can help the patient & does all he can. I've personally seen patients go and thank him, he has strong faith in all he does & His practice runs absolutely great , I highly recommend Dr. Beatty !

Awesome and brilliant doctor. I was in so much pain. I could not sit or stand for any length of time without being in excruciating pain. I thought I'd never be able to jog again. Dr. Beatty took the time to get to the bottom of my problem and performed the procedures necessary to get rid of all of the pain. I no longer take any medications and can jog whenever I want to. Thank God for Dr. Beatty.

Dr. Beatty has been direct and effective with each of scheduled correspondences as well as the completed procedures and surgeries he has performed in my experience. I am pleased with his detail and punctuality. He truly is a wonderful Doctor that makes the diagnosis and I have faith in his ability! He is extremely caring, he listens, he explains what procedure needs to be done and he is there for his patients! His staff members are always striving for improvement and take personal pride in their work. They go the extra mile, volunteering to help their teammates, pick up extra responsibilities and find ways to leverage the systems to become more efficient. I would recommend his staff and services without any hesitation.

I have known Dr. Beatty for many years and he is the kindest most generous person I have ever met. He listens to your concerns and explains in details his assessment. He cares deeply for his patients even to the point of being available 24/7. There are not many doctor's that will give you their personal cell phone number, but Dr. Beatty does. I have witnessed first hand him walking away from a dinner table to take a call from one of his patients. Dr. Beatty's reputation is almost flawless. I have heard nothing but outstanding remarks about his professionalism, and I would recommend him to anybody that is looking for a caring, thorough and well rounded doctor. He is by far one of the best doctor's in Bakersfield.

I have been a patient with Dr. Beatty since coming to Bakersfield more than 10 years ago. Dr. Beatty is not a "two minutes with you" and done type of doctor. I always get the amount of time I need with him and that has not changed even as his practice has grown and expanded over the years. The office is clean, quiet, and a pleasure to be in. I have found the staff to be knowledgeable, diligent, and exceedingly capable in their duties. The advice and direction I have received from Dr. Beatty has been spot on in keeping my medical issues under control. If you want a highly skilled doctor for general practice or pain management, who also provides you with the time you need to understand the treatment he prescribes, and who you would be happy to have dinner with or shoot a round of golf, you should choose Dr. Beatty, no doubt.

Dr. Beatty is a rude, arrogant, terrible person!! I have never had anyone say the things this "man" said to me! He brought me to tears twice and one visit made inappropriate comments regarding my 3 year old daughter because she simply wanted to play with the medical gloves, like all kids do. He told me I was a Terrible mother and that with the way she acts now, she will be home and pregnant at age 14!!!! My child is a happy, fun, intelligent human being, I don't understand why he would ever make a comment like that. Worst bedside manner I have ever witnessed. I hope my daughter doesn't remember the other things he said about my husband as well as myself. No one has ever hurt me the way this doctor has. Absolutely horrific!!! I then called and told then I would be seeking a different doctor and would pick up a disc of an MRI I had there and then ended the call. Yesterday I received a certified letter in the mail stating he dismissed me as a patient for "rude behavior"!! Are you serious??? Please, NO ONE SHOULD EVER SEE THIS "DOCTOR"!!!!!!!
